Less is the new-fangled more� We are beginning to glimpse out of the economic depressional ditch and the brightness is ours for the looking. Companies that will certainly make it through are those at this point accumulating momentum and continue with the new business mantra of the decade. We see that customers are demanding more value and the cost-driven enhancements are becoming more difficult to support without troubling the current business design or profit margin assumptions. Innovation tends to come from upstarts (Netflix and Southwest Air are good examples) and non-traditionals (Microsoft in the music business!). Less is the new-fangled more and company must accept a new behavior and ways to reduce their pricing to the point that customers will seriously love. They certainly need to provide enhancements of current merchandise and models (yes, even removing unneeded features) and the most effective way to advertise and sell your goods in the marketplace.
